Not all seaside houses rest on the side of twee. In reality, today’s leading listing shows a seaside home can have severe architectural benefit. Developed by Michael Pattrick, this impressive Grade II-listed home in Pett Level reeled us in for numerous factors, however possibly many of all for its shape: a distinctly blocky shape that sits atop stilts, managing amazing views of the East Sussex sea.

The three-level home is a lot of enjoyable too with jolly nautical accents aplenty. A fantastic splash of blue-green welcomes visitors at the entryway, while the interiors feel comparable to something you ‘d discover on a ship. Its upside-down strategy indicates that the 3 bed rooms rest on the lower deck. 2 are particularly cabin-like, in part due to the integrated bunk beds and rectangle-shaped portal windows that keep an eye out the water. Luckily, however, there’s no opportunity of seasickness while snoozing.
Although each level can be reached through internal or external stairs, we’ll be taking the latter on a bright day to capture the rays and ocean breeze. The outside action results in the seeing platform too where the existing owners have actually positioned jubliant striped deck chairs. The leading flooring is light, airy and open-plan, with structured windows running along each side of the square. Depsite the nostaligic nautical nods, this beachfront house is fine-tuned instead of a novelty. Its magnificently perserved mid-century lumber walls and woodern floorings ensure of that.
We’re not rather completed. Anticipate the unforeseen with this listing: in its garden, concealed amongst a marvelous variety of imposing evergreen trees and sculptural seaside plants, sits a glossy Curtis Wright take a trip trailer campervan, completed with a retro red lining, for much more beachfront enjoyable and video games.
