When Nick and Molly purchased their co-op on New york city’s Lower East Side in 2016, they understood it required a restoration– particularly the galley kitchen area. However the couple, who had actually cohabited in 3 various leasings prior to this purchase, chose to cope with what they had while they conserved up for the task. “We had Google Slides decks with a list for each space of must-haves and nice-to-haves,” Nick states. “We had a Pinterest board for each space to reveal the visual.” Equipped with concepts about how they wished to reside in the area, Molly began investigating interior designers. In February 2020, they got in touch with Ahmad AbouZanat, the creator of Project AZ.
Ahmad liked that the couple had demands. “I initially concentrated on the performance of the area,” he states. “The visual has to do with them– Nick is extremely into music and his albums, and Molly is extremely elegant– so I’m just going to provide them with choices that make it look great.” The problem on their timing was that the pandemic was quickly going to strike, so they had a hold-up of video game. Fortunately, that additional time let Nick, Molly, and Ahmad take on the whole home simultaneously rather of doing it piecemeal as they ‘d initially prepared.
